Welcome to the Koalas Class page!
Hello and welcome to the Koala's class page.
Miss Stewart is the class teacher supported by Mrs Thompson the teaching assistant. We are both really excited to be working with you this year, sharing and celebrating the progress and achievements of the wonderful children in our care.
PE
In the Autumn term, our P.E day's are every Thursday and Friday. We please ask for children to leave their PE kit in school until the end of the half term when it will be returned to wash.
Reading Books
Reading books will be changed on a Tuesday and Friday, but please send book bags into school every day. An additional 10 minutes playtime on a Friday is awarded to those children who read at least three times over the course of the week. We ask please that the reading diary is signed each time your child has read, as the reads get counted and certificates are awarded. Please send book bags into school every day to be checked. On Tuesdays and Fridays the children will change their books.
Homework
Homework is sent home on Fridays. This is a list of spellings and a piece of Maths, both linked to learning in the week. Please return all homework by the following Friday. We have a spelling test each Friday so please support your children to learn their spellings each week.
Reading Ted
We have a class reading 'Ted' which goes home with a child twice a week and there is a journal in the suitcase to document their reading adventures together.
Water Bottles
Please send children to school with a water bottle every day. We are a healthy school, so water only please (no fruit juice or flavoured water.)
